Social connection is a crucial aspect of both human development and overall wellbeing throughout our lifetime. But, according to a U.S. Surgeon General report from 2023, there is an epidemic of loneliness and social isolation in the United States that threatens the wellbeing - particularly of our youth and our elders. This widsespread social disconnection weakens our relationships, our ability to work together, and our sense of community.
